NEW START TIMES FOR REVERSE TRIATHLON WAVES
The 95.9 The Fish Reverse Triathlon distances are 5K run, 13.1 mile bike, and 200 meter pool swim.
Due to the popularity of the event, two waves are offered with different start times depending on finishing time or category (see event schedule). Special optional categories include Athena (Women 150 lbs.+), Clydesdale (Men 200 lbs.+) and Challenged Athletes Division with event start at the 2nd wave. All Triathlon participants must attend the mandatory meeting prior to event wave start. Triathlon participants should bring their own swim cap. Minimum age limit for the Reverse Triathlon is 12 years old.
There are two waves for the Triathlon. Wave 1 starts at 7:00 am and includes participants with finish times of 1 hr 30 min and below and Relay Teams. Wave 2 starts at 9:00 am and includes participants with finish times of 1 hr 30 min+ in addition to Athena/Clydesdale, Challenged Athletes, beginner triathletes and those who do not know their approximate finishing time. For the Reverse Triathlon, both Waves 1 & 2 will have age division awards and only overall top three male and female finishers and Relay Teams will qualify to win overall awards in Wave 1 (competing under 1 hour and 30 min). Wave 2 will not have overall awards. All finishers in each event will receive a Race on the Base finisher's medal.
All participants must wear a helmet for the bike portion, no exceptions.
